Run Federated Computer Yourself, Free
The Free tier of our “You host” plans gives you Federated Core, up to three apps from the Software Library, and our AI and MCP features for $0 a month.
Some businesses want us to run everything. Others would rather keep the servers in their own hands. For the second group, there’s now a simple way to start: self-host Federated Computer for free.
What you get for $0
The Free tier of our “You host” plans includes:
- Federated Core, the foundation that handles provisioning, storage, sign-in, and backups for every app above it
- Up to three applications from the Software Library, such as Nextcloud, EspoCRM, or FreeScout
- Our AI and MCP features, so AI can read and act in your apps through scoped connections you control
You install it wherever you like: a server in your office, a virtual machine, or your own cloud account. Your data stays on hardware you choose, and nobody else can see it.
Who it’s for
The Free tier is made for trying Federated and running a small setup. It’s a good fit if you:
- want to test Federated with real work before you commit
- run a small team that needs only a few core apps
- are a developer exploring what MCP can do with open-source business software
When you outgrow it
Upgrading doesn’t mean starting over. The Developer tier, at $35 a month per installation, removes the app limit and adds Data & Controls for teams building AI on their own business data. Running more than 100 installations within three months? The Platform tier is $10 a month per installation.
On any tier, you can add backups ($15 a month), monitoring ($10 a month), or customer service ($20 a month), and switch them off at any time.
